Born from the idea that radical surfing looked so good on boards of the early 2000s—bashing the lip in the pocket and pushing bottom turns as hard as humanly possible—the end goal is always to ride on one rail or the other while remaining as performance-driven as possible. The SPLINTER offers all the front-end characteristics of the “elf shoe” or “toothpick” boards that performed well (if you could paddle them) in the early 2000s, but with the foam displacement of a modern board that has proper float. The double wing, single concave, and subtle flip out the tail create a trifecta of performance, speed, and control in anything from stomach-high to way overhead waves. It accelerates with extreme drive while going top to bottom in good surf. Caution: EXTRA FLIP IN NOSE.
